Jiří Středa’s anatomically correct sculpture livens up a gray plaza

Jiří Středa’s “Co víme” (What We Know) was created in 2001. This third version of the work is cast in bronze to achieve the right shade of green. “When I first saw it I thought maybe it was too much, but after a couple of minutes I realized it was exactly what I wanted,” Středa told Czech Position. The statue appears behind the National Theater as part of an ongoing project to bring new life to the space.
